Occupational Therapy “OT” is the evaluation and treatment of individuals of all ages with physical injury or illness through the use of purposeful activities to maintain health, prevent disability, and maximize independence.
Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants are licensed professionals skilled in carrying out treatments for the upper extremity (pre and post surgical) injuries or disabilities. Treatment is provided through the use of modalities, splinting, exercise, manual therapy, and education in the use of adaptive equipment to assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
