• Telemedicine uses high-speed telecommunication systems, computer technology, and specialized medical cameras to examine, diagnose, treat, and educate patients remotely.
  • While in the hospital, inpatients who require a specialist consultation will have access to telemedicine which would be referred by the hospitalist.
  • Outpatient referrals for Electrophysiology Cardiology will have access to a cardiac specialist in Augusta without leaving the county. Primary care provider referrals will be required for this service.
