Pediatric Rehabilitation

At Washington County Regional Medical Center, we are excited to offer the SPOT Program, a specialized pediatric rehabilitation service that provides Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy (SPOT) tailored to children of all ages. Whether your child is recovering from an injury, living with developmental delay, or managing a chronic condition, our SPOT team is here to help them grow, thrive, and succeed.

Speech Therapy

As children grow, they learn to understand others, use words, form sentences, and share ideas. There’s a lot of wiggle-room in what’s “normal,” but sometimes a child’s speaking or understanding doesn’t keep pace with what you’d expect — and that’s okay to check out. Getting help early can make a big difference. Below are some common signs to look for if you're considering speech therapy for your child.

Physical Therapy

Every child develops strength, balance, and coordination at their own pace. But if your little one seems to struggle with movement, posture, or keeping up with peers, a pediatric physical therapist can help them gain confidence and build strong foundations for growth.

Occupational Therapy

Children’s development includes many “everyday” skills like how they move, how they play, or how they do things for themselves. If you notice stumbling blocks in those areas, it might be worth a conversation with your pediatrician or an occupational therapist.

Your Rehabilitation Visit

If you notice any of these signs, it doesn’t necessarily mean your child has a serious problem, but it’s worth starting a conversation with your child’s doctor or a licensed therapist. Early support can make a big difference, especially in the first few years of development. You don’t have to wait for the “perfect moment” — if something feels off, trust your instincts.

At WCRMC, our compassionate and experienced therapists work closely with each child and family to create customized treatment plans that build confidence, improve function, and help reach meaningful milestones. Through the SPOT Program, we empower children from early childhood through adolescence to grow stronger in communication, mobility, self-care, and social interaction within a nurturing and supportive environment where every child can thrive.

Our outpatient clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
