Swing Bed Care
The Swing Bed Program, also known as transitional care, at Washington County Regional Medical Center helps patients transition smoothly from acute hospital care to home. Whether you're recovering from surgery, illness, or injury, swing bed care provides the additional support sometimes needed before returning to your daily life. It offers skilled nursing and rehabilitative services in a hospital setting with the comforts and convenience of home-like care.
The best part? You can transfer to our swing bed program from any hospital, even if your initial treatment wasn't with us. Medicare and most Medicare Advantage plans cover this extended hospital stay, and our team will help determine any financial responsibilities, ensuring peace of mind for you and your family.
