Position Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate patient care throughout the shift. This role includes patient assessment, care planning, medication monitoring, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
The RN will provide care to patients from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and may assist residents, families, and significant others.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions
- Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes
- Manage patient care resources including supplies and equipment
- Promote teamwork among physicians, nursing staff, and other departments
- Maintain quality care standards in accordance with facility policies
- Provide support to patients and families
- Assist with front desk or clerical duties as needed
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Georgia
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Understanding of fundamental nursing principles
- Nursing home or extended care experience preferred
