WCRMC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. The ideal candidate will perform venipunctures and skin punctures efficiently and accurately, ensuring that all samples are collected and processed according to established standards. This role also provides assistance within the Clinical Laboratory as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures, skin punctures, and capillary collections competently and safely.
- Conduct bleeding time tests, blood cultures, and other specimen collections as required.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transportation of specimens.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with hospital and laboratory policies.
- Provide excellent patient care with professionalism and empathy.
- Support laboratory staff and assist with general lab duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Phlebotomy certification or Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency required.
- Strong understanding of laboratory test requirements and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Shift: PRN (as needed)
