Washington County Regional Medical Center (WCRMC) has proudly provided patient-centered care to the community for over 60 years. Our hospital is a licensed acute care facility with 56 beds and a 60-bed Extended Care Facility. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Manager to lead our Medical/Surgical Unit and support our mission of delivering high-quality patient care.
Position Summary
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and daily operations of the Medical/Surgical Unit. This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while supporting and developing nursing staff in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for nursing staff on the Medical/Surgical Unit
- Ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with hospital policies and clinical standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff
- Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and allocation of unit resources
- Monitor performance metrics and support quality improvement initiatives
- Stay informed on current healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
