Facilities Technician

Washington County Regional Medical Center has provided patient-centered care to the community for 61 years. Our hospital is seeking experienced and motivated employees who will continue providing high quality care to our patients. WCRMC is a licensed general acute care facility with 56 hospital beds and a 60-bed Extended Care Facility.

Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Facilities Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for general and routine maintenance repairs and service operations throughout the hospital and the Extended Care Facility. Constructs, repairs, and maintains wooden structures (such as furniture, equipment, partitions) and other parts of the building(s) using hand and power tools. Required to perform maintenance on equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Requirements

• High school graduate or trade school graduate, with courses in arithmetic, mechanics, and electricity preferred.
• A certification by a trade or technical school.
• Driver’s License (Required)
• HVAC Certification (Preferred)

Skills

• Must have good problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to handle and operate equipment of the profession such as hand and power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Must be able to communicate intelligently and in a professional manner.

Experience

• In lieu of certification, 2-5 years previous experience in general maintenance, HVAC (heating, ventilation, & air conditioning), and refrigeration preferred.
• Maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)
