WCRMC is a licensed general acute care facility with 56 hospital beds and a 60-bed extended care facility.
Position Summary:
The Activity Aide supports the Activity Director in planning, organizing, and facilitating recreational and therapeutic activities for residents in an Extended Care Facility (ECF). This role contributes to enhancing residents’ quality of life through engagement in meaningful and enjoyable programs tailored to their abilities and interests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of daily, weekly, and monthly activity plans.
- Lead and participate in a variety of activities, including games, arts and crafts, music, exercise classes, and community outings.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment to encourage participation.
- Monitor and ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all participants during activities.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of activity areas and equipment.
- Maintain inventory and organize program supplies and materials.
- Document attendance and participation; help track and report resident progress and engagement.
- Provide transportation assistance and support with logistics for off-site activities and appointments.
- Collaborate with other staff to accommodate individual resident needs and preferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Activity Director.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an Accredited High School or GED Program
